Crash between Colorado State Patrol cruiser, Arapahoe County sheriff’s deputy northeast of Watkins

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — A crash involving an Arapahoe County sheriff’s deputy and Colorado State Patrol trooper injured two legislation enforcement officers on Saturday, the Aurora Police Division stated.

It occurred when each have been responding to East 80th Avenue and Schumaker Street for a street rage incident involving a handgun.

The autos crashed at East 48th Avenue and Manila Street northeast of Watkins.

The trooper needed to be extricated from the broken unmarked Dodge Charger and was airlifted to a hospital.  The deputy was driving a Ford Expedition and was transported by ambulance.

Each drivers suffered critical accidents, in accordance with police.
